Here is the place where you can post links to show off your proud custom snail even if you do not regularly race in the weekly event shown live on Treet.

You can also post your opinions about other snails explaining why you like to dislike the way the snail looks and what they could have possibly have done to make it better.

This topic is all in fun so please do not be hateful with your posts.

Salem, you should post a few photos of the RFL Limited Edition snail. In fact, I wonder if we should promote selling 100 of them on the show "for as long as supplies last". I just don't think many people appreciate how cool and amazing those are!!!

Last Year's Shell by Pat ---

This is the 2009 Limited Edition RFL Tiny Snail w/Kitchen created by Pat Patrucci of Sci-Fan Tech.

Her imaginative designing placed a very tiny home in an already small avatar.

This small home had a living room with attention to detail, the coffee table even had playing cards on it.

The Living room also had a working Treet television inside

-

-

-

-

-

-

-

-
It also had a full kitchen with Microwave.

Pat also build in a small bedroom and if that was not enough...

-

It also had a bathroom! Something you do not usually find an most Second Life Homes!

Pat has told me that she likes it that her work was recognized and many people loved it. That is why I am going to be going to Pat Patricci again for the 2010 Tiny Shell for the Relay for Life.

What wonder will we find inside the small shell this year? Only time will tell.

NOTE: When you insert your images, if you set the alignment to "center" or "none" instead of left/right, then they won't format the way they have for you. I noticed you had to put a bunch of hyphens in to get it the way you wanted. Let me know if you want it to work differently! I'll try and change things if I can.

When you set it to "left" or "right", then it "floats" the image around your paragraph.

You don't need to go back and reinsert them either, if you look in your posting, you can see where it just says "align=left" and you can just go in and change it to "align=center" or "align=none".

This is my first proper attempt at pimping my snail; I'm not much of a builder, you see. It was fun to do, though; I'll look forward to doing more in future :)

I thought, "What can I do for a 'test' theme?", then I thought, "Well, test tubes, of course!" And seeing how the track is not fully tested yet, how about a hard hat for good measure :)

It's taken me a bit to finally take pictures of my various theme snails, always seam to be busy with something. However, I've finally made the time and gotten it done.
Of course every new snail race theme means I'll likely be making a new snail to go with it. These are far from the last pimped out snails I'll have, more to come

So here was my attempt at making an X-Files Snail.

This was also the snail in which I finally came in 1st on a final race...So I believe!

This weeks theme was Disney, so being a big Disney fan I took to this like a Donald Duck to water. And here is my snail for that....

It's 80's theme today at the Giant Snail Races. This is the decade I associate with best, it's when I was a teenager. So while I grew up with all sorts of music and culture, I still tend to favor the 80's most.

Still, I found this weeks snail the hardest to do, took the longest to build of all I've done so far. Trying to encompass the whole decade, at least in a small part, on one snail.

So like, oh my god, this was like my totally awesome and bitchin snail, Fer shur.

It's another "Relay for Life" race day. There is no general theme for RFL races, and normally I just go with my normal shell with the RFL logo attached. This time however I was inspired to make a new snail, literally at the last minute, because I couldn't sleep. Started at 2am Saturday morning, ended at 6am, and yes I finally got some sleep before the race.
My avatar in SecondLife is currently pregnant, now my snail has gotten joked about in the past when my av's been pregnant, and this time has been no different. Not that I mind, as it's all in good fun, but that gave me the idea to try fit my snail to the jokes, and this is what I came up with.

After a few weeks, with the RFL race and the fashion show, we're back to regular snail racing. The theme this time is Doctor Who, and of course I've created a snail to fit that theme. Part of the snail is based on the 10th Doctor, portrayed by David Tennant. Mainly because I've only seen a few episodes with the 11th Doctor, portrayed by Matt Smith, so I don't know his version of the Doctor all that well.

Hi all, it's me again, and once again I have a new snail for this weeks giant snail racing theme. The theme for this week is gangster, you know like Bonnie and Clyde. Had a little trouble thinking up what to do for this theme, but here is what I came up with.

Since this week's theme is going to be the Beatles and I had made this shell for the RLF Cross Country Race which also had the same theme I thought I would put mine in here. I can't race this week because I will be performing at SL7B.

This is my Beatles Fan Snail. She is a young fan since she has braces, but she is ready for action with her fan button on her collar, her pencil at the ready and her autograph book in case she encounters any Beatles. She carries pictures of the Beatles on the flags and is known to faint and scream when they are in the vicinity.

This is the snail I wore for the last RFL snail race. It is a larger version of the tiny snail I designed and made for Racer, to be sold to raise money for RFL. I was especially proud how the tiny snail came out, so decided to make the larger version of it. Be sure to pick up a copy when they go on sale (Blatant Plug), not sure when that will be. All the money from the sale goes to RFL.

It's been several weeks since the last giant snail race at the Hawthorne track, and the theme this week is The Beatles.
After spending most of that time on the RFL race and helping to build the SL7B Tiny Snail Track with Selene, I finally got around to making my Beatles theme snail, and here it is.

After a few weeks we're back to normal snail races at the Hawthorne track. The theme for this week is Greek Mythlogy. Traveling up to Mount Olympus, I consulted with the Gods and Goddesses who helped me create my Greek snail, and here it is...

We're taking a break from the normal track at Hawthorne this week and doing a race on the dirt track on Otway. Supplied with snail "cars", wheels attached to an invisible frame, the giant snails will race, in a figure 8, through mushrooms, around the track. While there is no offical theme this week, I went ahead and made up a snail anyway to fit with the race.

The theme for this weeks snail race is pretty easy and fast and fun....you could say it's Fast-Easy-Fun. Also we're back at the Hawthorne track for a normal race, if you can say snail racing is ever normal. Here is my attempt at a snail for this weeks theme.

It's another fun filled giant snail race today and the theme for this week, finally, after a few delays, is anime. The race today isn't at the Hawthorne track, but at the sim Lemondrop Forest, it is very cartoony and fits the theme nicely. I like anime, but I know one anime show better then any other, Tenchi Muyo, and so this is my snail in Tenchi style.

Space the final frontier...

This weeks theme for the giant snail races was Star Trek. Though slightly delayed by a rouge ion storm, we set a course for Hawthorne, phasers and photon torpedos ready, engaging warp factor 5. To boldly race where no snail has raced before, through starships, evading a Borg cube, we were pummeled by meteors, space cows and bad puns...but in the end, it was no tribble at all.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away....

I feel a disturbance in the Force...I sense Star Wars is the theme for this weeks giant snail race and it is the start of season 6.
Hop in your X-Wing, Star Destroyer or even your old piece of junk, and head at lightspeed to Hawthorne. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy, you must be cautious.
Come see the Rebels battle the evil galactic Empire and catch a pod... uh...snail race while you're there.

And may the Force be with you.

Star Wars Snail 2: Star Wars Snail from the front. Went with Darth Vader, Dark lord of the snails. Animated the chest panel lights, adapted the helmet for the snail with a secondary helmet for the snail eyes, as well as the cape. Added a red lightsaber, the drool replaced with the symbol of the Empire, added a Darth breathing sound to the chest panel.Star Wars Snail 2: Star Wars Snail from the front. ...Everything's better, down where it's wetter, under the sea....

The theme this week for the giant snail races is "Under the sea". So plunge on in to Hawthorne, dive down and explore the murky and fascinating depths where the giant snails play.
