Pop Vox featuring Soleil (US/Jap)

Pop Art Lab is proud to present the latest edition of its television music show 'POP VOX' with an extra special interview and performance from a band that hold people in rapture throughout the Second Life music scene – 'Soleil'. If you haven’t heard of 'Soleil' yet then brace yourself; because they are destined to break the barrier from being virtually based musicians and are destined to catapult into the big league of RL artists too.

Have a look at this awesome stage design! It was designed by Pop Art Lab inhouse designers Emily Hifeng and Xray Haller (textures).
The stage was set at a 4 sim cross enabling 200+ avatars to attend.
The groovy story behind this production is everything went on in my livingroom real life! I set up mixers and 3 computers, Baby Woodrose came with guitars and an old echo box previously owned by legendary 1960's psych legend Roky Erikson who led Texas psych gods 13th Floor Elevators!

Yay! Our very first Pop Vox show feat. the famous Greg Hawkes who did the synths in major 70'-80's pop group The Cars. It's infact a rare pic taken by long time Pop Art Lab supporter Ryan Rasmussen. I could make a 3 page story on this show since so much happened behind the scene! By now I'll leave it to few shoutouts. Greg Hawkes did an awesome job and to me very brave to enter Pop Vox at his very first day in Second Life! I strongly recommend readers to go to our archive here and listen to Gregs 45 min. concert.

One of Second Lifes most original and to me exciting bands Engrama came in back in October 2009. Originating from Buenos Aires, Argentina this show looked like an easy job since they already were familiar with SL touring. Yet again new challenges occured. Firstly they weren't speaking much English and secondly streamed their music as non-digital as possible. No headsets and only their singing microphone we had to switch back and forth during interview to maintain lipsych working. Also of note we had some huge events close to this show so we barely had time to promote or even host it.
