We learned today that Delinda Dyrssen, a member of the Treet family, passed away last night.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Delinda's family who have had a year of tragedies. Our thoughts are with you as we all struggle to come to grips with this loss.
Delinda has been part of the Treet TV family in a variety of ways since day one. She was a sailor, a music lover and always a good friend. Always happy. Always cheerful. Words can not convey how much we will miss her.
There are plans for a memorial in progress. For those interested, there is a Second Life group "Delinda Dyrssen Memorial" started to plan a tribute to her memory. Her family has requested donations in Delinda's name (Denise Williams in RL) be made to:
KDIGO at http://kdigo.org/ or
Project 50/50 at http://www.shaykelley.com/

Delinda was one of those persons that always made me smile when I saw her name pop up in an IM. I always knew I was in for a pleasant conversation.

Before Delinda's Treet TV days she was very active in the SL sailing community and wrote The "Sea Stories" column at SLSailing.COM.

Her passing leaves a real world hole in my real world heart.

So, I did the walks, picked up what I needed, and headed back... when my phone dropped out of Zorch's album and went fucking nuts.
Emails, tweets, facebooks, plurks, texts all at once.
No. Dammit.
This is not how it's supposed to be.
I sat down by the side of the road, put the bags down, and read...
And could not stop crying.

Like so many others I am heartbroken by the loss of such an amazing woman. The pain, wait and no complaint. The stories of her brother and her taking this unusual trip.
We have all lost a sister and I just hope she's there the day I travel to thirdlife.

I don’t even know what to say. I just found out about this, and I’m honestly too upset to write. Delinda and I have been friends for years. I wish to God this were not true. It feels like some sort of a nightmare.ÂÂ
I love you, Deli. I hope you know how much. I’m not sure a kinder heart existed, and the world is a damn sad place without you in it. I know you are in heaven now. I will miss you so much.
