Well it's that time of year again the Skybeam sims have been around for 5 years now So the snails are here to help celebrate. We have a new longer route this year Charlene Trudeau has really gone through some extensive revamping of the route and found a way to make the race through the 25 sims twice as long, Were doing 2 laps this time. So twice the fun!

Hi This week on Giant Snail Racing were all set to do our 200th Episode on Treet.TV We did a lot of races before treet found us so really were closer to 350 I think but 200 filmed races is quite a few and we've come a long way since treet first filmed us. The track was mostly things that flung you across the sim and a maze of arrows on the ground Early Days We really have come a long way since then mostly because of the filming. We needed to make a track that was a great visual and The people at Firesabre let us use more prims to make the show blossum into what its become today. Thanks to Tindallia Soothsayer we know have the entire track moded to each weeks theme and it's frozen in time and saved forever. Now were on Safras Nitely's Sim Devon Dream and have even more room to spread out.The Track Today Trick or Treat

Well were doing something special this week in honor of the 200th episode. were having a little awards presentation in the middle where were going to honor the people that dress up as giant snails and have made this all possible. So get your Halloween on and join us or wait for the show to apear sometime soon on treet were at Devon Dream starts at 10:45 ends probably around 12:15 Live, The Treet version will be shorter. Season 5 Starts Sunday for the Giant Snail Races.If you want to try snail racing come on down to the track and try the tutorial or click on the Waelyas school of snails sign. Or IM RacerX Gullwing Well try to get you set up but be warned you need a great pc and a fast isp to be competitive. But it's also about the fun of racing and winning isn't everything we also have a competition each week for best of theme snail each week. Where you take our full perm snail and mod it to go with the weeks theme. So were all about art too.

Oh and fun and who knows the way sl works stuff fails all the time anyone can end up winning with some luck. we can also use spectators because whats a snail race without some people to watch so come on out any Sunday at 10:45 get razzed and catch the fire works before we get started at 11:00 AM for about an hour of Snail Racing craziness. On April 17th The biggest best most spectacular Giant Snail Race ever Is Happening and hopefully every single Relay team will be represented. We will be crossing 51 sims running down the streets of Second Life with all the many built in obstacles like those damn hit and run Driver less cars that run you over and just keep on going, The Many Bridges built right on the sim borders that let you fall through just when you think you made it to the other side, The combination info hub and shelter sim of Isabele that will probably be full that day and force us to find our own way around it, And of course the crazy amount of lag that a hundred snails will create trying to just move through them crashing and lagging off into space.
