A Brief Brief

For two days Second Life's favourite and most watched media network is throwing open its doors in a bonanza of style, content and fun. All your favourite Treet shows have booths and events happening during the two day event which will blow your socks off (even if you're barefoot).

The Expo will be held on Tropical Treet (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tropical%20Treet/134/214/22) with a mixture of scheduled events and high profile shenanigans going on through out the weekend. There's hunts, prizes, freebies, music, live shows and a chance for you to be on TV.

The crazy dudes that have the need for speed (and broken avatar-bones) are featured in the SL website Destination Guide - top of the list for sports and games.

Congratulations to Cyphien Heart and Jesiah Carver plus all the boarders that keep pushing the boundaries of tricks and thrills. You can see what it's all about by watching the pro competitions here on Treet TV. Or give it a try yourself and stop in at the super-cyber Dream Horizon sim. Maybe you will be on the next VSN Simboarding show!

This thread is to help out any new people who would like to try the sport. Quite a few people have tried to make instructional videos that would help out any newbies, and i'm going to share with you which ones i think can really help ya. I figure i'll start these video tutorials off with the creator of the simboard and owner of Vetox, Sean Martin. Now if you can get past the fact that he's trying to hypnotize you, there's actually quite a bit you can learn from this video. Check it out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfG_DOxBIqo .

For those of you who did not see this event live it was a great one. With a line up with the likes of Cameron Kayo, Socks Clawtooth, Arteee Nubert, Ikiryo Waverider and Kharnak Ren what could you really expect. I won't reveal any juicy details for those of you who didn't see it, lets just say big moves don't count for everything. Hope to see everybody next week for the Pro Halfpipe event and keep on gri...... no i can't steal cyphiens line. That's just not my style. well, now that i think bout it... i don't have any style... KEEP ON GRINDING

Well as some of you may have noticed, last Sunday's competition had to be canceled due to some problems that just could not be avoided. One of our judges was out due to falling ill and another was out of town which left us short handed. Just wouldn't be fair to have only one opinion counting towards scores so we didn't have much to work with. We hope to see you all next Sunday back in the park!
